AppReviewBot AI Agent in Slack
The AppReviewBot AI Agent is a Slack bot you can DM or use in threads to ask questions about your reviews — recent complaints, sentiment trends, feedback themes, and more. It is separate from Review Alerts (channel notifications) and uses its own Slack authorization flow.
Features
- Chat about reviews — Ask in plain language, e.g. “What are users complaining about this week?” or “Show recent 1-star reviews for my app”
- Filtered lookups — The agent can scope by app, platform, date range, and star rating
- Thread follow-ups — Continue the conversation in the same Slack thread without repeating context
Setup
1. Start Create App with AppReviewBot AI Agent
In the dashboard, choose Create App and select AI Agent as the option.
2. Connect Slack
When prompted, connect the Slack workspace where you want to ask questions. Complete OAuth — this is a different authorization from your review-alert destination.
AppReviewBot AI Agent can only be installed on one Slack workspace per organization at a time.
3. Ask questions in Slack
Open a DM with AppReviewBot or reply in a thread. Ask about apps already connected to Slack in your organization.
Example prompts:
- “Summarize negative reviews from the last 7 days for [app name]”
- “What bugs are users mentioning most?”
- “How many 5-star reviews did we get this month?”
Requirements
- AppReviewBot account
- At least one app connected in your workspace
- Slack workspace admin or permission to install apps
- Apps you ask about should already be set up with Slack review alerts in the same org (so the agent can access review data)
