Create an App from the Dashboard
Use the dashboard setup when you already manage apps in AppReviewBot or want to reuse a Teams destination that is already connected to your account.
Before you start
Create an incoming webhook workflow in Teams for the channel where reviews should appear. If the channel menu does not offer Workflows, open View more apps (···) in the left sidebar, search for Workflows, and add the app. If the app is missing from search, ask your Microsoft 365 or Teams administrator whether it is disabled.
- Open Workflows and search its home or templates page for Send webhook alerts to a channel.
- Select the template, choose the team and channel, complete the prompts, and select Save.
- Copy the webhook URL from the workflow details page.
See Microsoft’s Workflows app setup and incoming webhook instructions if the screens look different.
Create the app subscription
- Sign in to the AppReviewBot dashboard and start Create App.
- Search for the app on the Apple App Store or Google Play, select the correct listing, and continue.
- Choose Microsoft Teams as the destination and continue.
- Select a Teams destination already connected to your account, or choose Add new Teams webhook.
- For a new destination, AppReviewBot opens a form in a separate window. Enter a channel name, paste the webhook URL, and save it. Return to the app setup window and select the new destination.
- Configure any available review filters, such as ratings or countries, then finish creating the app subscription.
Matching reviews are sent to the selected Teams channel as AppReviewBot processes them. You can create separate app subscriptions and select different Teams destinations to route feedback to different channels.
Troubleshooting
- The new destination is not listed: Make sure the webhook form saved successfully, then return to the wizard and select the channel. Allow pop-ups for the AppReviewBot dashboard if the form window did not open.
- The webhook URL is rejected: Paste the complete URL created by a Teams Workflows webhook. AppReviewBot accepts secure Microsoft Teams webhook URLs, including current Power Automate webhook hosts ending in
.logic.azure.comor.environment.api.powerplatform.com. - No reviews appear: Confirm the app subscription is active, the intended Teams destination is selected, and the Teams workflow is enabled for that channel.
