Quick Setup from the Microsoft Teams Page
Use this path if you want to start from the Microsoft Teams overview page and connect one app directly to a channel. You will need the Teams workflow webhook URL before submitting the form.
1. Create a Teams workflow webhook
- In Microsoft Teams, select View more apps (···) in the left sidebar, search for Workflows, and add the app if it is not already there.
- Open Workflows. You can also open it from a channel’s More options (···) menu when that shortcut is available.
- On the Workflows home or templates page, search for Send webhook alerts to a channel (older Teams versions call it Post to a channel when a webhook request is received) and select that template.
- Choose the team and channel where review alerts should appear, complete any prompts, then select Save.
- After the workflow is created, copy the webhook URL from its details page.
Microsoft’s instructions: Get started with the Workflows app and Send messages in Teams using incoming webhooks.
If you cannot find Workflows in Teams, your organization may have disabled the app. Ask your Microsoft 365 or Teams administrator to enable it. Microsoft documents that the Workflows app is not available in Microsoft 365 Government tenants.
2. Find the app to monitor
- Open the Microsoft Teams integration page.
- Start the setup from the page’s call to action.
- Search for your app and select the correct Apple App Store or Google Play listing.
3. Enter your email and webhook
- Enter the email address you want associated with your AppReviewBot account. If you are signed in, the form may already contain your account email.
- Paste the Teams incoming webhook URL into the Microsoft Teams field.
- Choose Get App Review in Microsoft Teams to submit the connection.
- If AppReviewBot asks you to verify the email address, complete that verification and continue.
The setup page checks that the email and webhook are present and validates the webhook URL before enabling the connection action. Once setup completes, AppReviewBot confirms the connection and begins monitoring the selected app for reviews to send to the Teams channel.
Workflows URLs can use Power Automate hosts such as *.logic.azure.com or *.environment.api.powerplatform.com. AppReviewBot accepts these current webhook hosts. Existing webhook.office.com connector URLs are still accepted, but Microsoft is retiring those connectors and they may stop working, so use a Workflows webhook for new setups.
What to check if setup does not complete
- Confirm you selected the correct store listing for your app.
- Copy the full webhook URL from the Teams workflow without adding spaces or changing it.
- Make sure the email address is valid and complete email verification if prompted.
- Check that the Teams workflow is still available for the intended channel.
For a setup that starts inside your account and lets you reuse an existing destination, see Create an app from the dashboard.
