Connect your Jira workspace
Connecting Jira links your AppReviewBot organization to a Jira Cloud project. After that, matching reviews create issues in that project automatically — no CSV exports, no screenshots in Slack threads that get lost.
What you get after connecting
- A Jira destination you can attach to one or more apps
- Issues created in your chosen project
- Issue priority mapped from the review’s star rating
- A rich description with rating, author, store, version, and the full review text
Before you start
- You can sign in to the Jira Cloud site where issues should be created
- You can create issues in the target project (or ask an admin to grant access)
- You have at least one app in AppReviewBot (or plan to add one right after connecting)
Connect from the dashboard
- Sign in to AppReviewBot.
- Open Integrations (or start adding an app and choose Jira as the destination).
- Select Jira and click Connect.
- Complete the secure authorization popup for your Atlassian / Jira Cloud account.
- In the same window, choose the Jira project where issues should be created. Projects already linked in AppReviewBot are disabled.
- Confirm the destination card appears (it shows your Jira project).
- Attach the destination to an app and set review filters (see Create tickets from reviews).
That’s it — the next matching review creates a Jira issue.

What we request (and why)
During authorization, AppReviewBot asks for permission to create and manage issues in projects you can access. That is how reviews become tickets. We do not need your store passwords for the Jira connection itself — store accounts are configured separately when you want private reviews or replies.
Tips for a clean first setup
- Start with a dedicated project or board column for store feedback if your main board is already crowded
- Use 1–2★ only for the first week so the team sees value without ticket spam
- Give the destination a clear name (for example “Jira · Mobile Support”) so it’s obvious when linking apps
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | What to try |
|---|---|
| Popup blocked | Allow popups for dash.appreviewbot.com, then click Connect again |
| No project / destination after auth | Confirm you have access to at least one Jira project, then reconnect |
| Issues not appearing | Check the app’s destination, rating filters, and that the app is enabled |
| Wrong project | Create or reconnect a destination for the correct project, then re-link the app |
