Create Jira tickets from reviews
Once Jira is connected, AppReviewBot creates issues from matching reviews. This is where the integration pays off: critical store feedback becomes work your engineering team can assign, prioritize, and close.
Recommended setup: 1★ and 2★ only
Most teams do not send every five-star rave into Jira. Start with low ratings:
- Open the app in AppReviewBot (or finish adding an app).
- Select your Jira destination.
- Set the star rating filter to 1 and 2 (or 1–3 if you want broader coverage).
- Save and enable the app.
New matching reviews create Jira issues automatically. Positive reviews can stay in Slack, email digests, or the dashboard — Jira stays focused on problems.
You can change filters anytime. Tight filters first → expand later once the team trusts the queue.
What each issue includes
Issues are written for people who live in Jira:
- Clear summary (app + rating signal + short review title/snippet)
- Priority derived from star rating (lower stars → higher priority)
- Description with rating, author, store, country/version when available, and the full review body
- Enough context to reproduce or triage without opening the store console
Priority mapping (typical)
| Review rating | Jira priority signal |
|---|---|
| 1★ | Highest / most urgent |
| 2★ | High |
| 3★ | Medium |
| 4–5★ | Lower (if you include them) |
Exact priority names follow your Jira site’s priority scheme when available.
Attach apps to Jira
- One Jira destination can serve multiple apps
- Each app keeps its own filters (ratings, countries, etc.)
- To send the same app to Jira and Slack, create a second subscription for that app with the other destination
Manual issue from a review
From the dashboard you can create an issue for a specific review when it did not match automatic filters — useful for a one-off 3★ that still needs engineering attention. The Jira Marketplace app will support this from inside Jira when it ships.
If an issue already exists for that review, open the existing ticket instead of creating a duplicate.
Prove it works in five minutes
- Connect Jira from the dashboard (Marketplace app coming soon).
- Link one production app with 1–2★ filters.
- Wait for the next low rating — or use a recent matching review path available in your plan.
- Open the issue in Jira and assign an owner.
When the first crash report lands as a ticket without anyone pasting it by hand, the integration has paid for itself.
