AppReviewBot for JiraComing soon
AppReviewBot for Jira is our Atlassian Marketplace app. Install it on your Jira Cloud site to connect your AppReviewBot organization from inside a project — useful when your team lives in Jira and wants setup without bouncing between tools.
Who this is for
- Teams that want AppReviewBot discoverable in the Atlassian Marketplace
- Admins who prefer to authorize and manage the link from a Jira project panel
- Orgs that already use Jira as the system of record for bugs and customer-reported issues
You can still connect Jira from the AppReviewBot dashboard if you prefer that path. Both approaches create the same outcome: reviews become Jira issues.
What the app does
From the Jira project panel you can:
- Link your AppReviewBot organization to the current Jira project
- Search the Apple App Store and Google Play, then add apps to your organization
- Link or unlink apps to this Jira project (so reviews can create issues here)
- Open an app and browse paginated reviews (filters and search included)
- Create a Jira issue for a review when one does not already exist
- Reply to a review when a store account is connected
- Keep delivery aligned with your AppReviewBot filters (including 1–2★-only setups)
Install from the Marketplace
- Open the Atlassian Marketplace and search for AppReviewBot, or open the listing from your Jira admin’s Find new apps screen.
- Install AppReviewBot on your Jira Cloud site (site admin permission required).
- Open a Jira project where store feedback should land.
- Open the AppReviewBot panel / app entry for that project.
- Paste your AppReviewBot organization API key from Organization Settings.
- Sync the project so AppReviewBot can create issues there.
- Add or link apps, then confirm filters in AppReviewBot (see Create tickets from reviews).
For linking apps, creating issues, and replying from the panel, enable Allow write access next to your API key in Organization Settings. Read-only keys can validate the connection but cannot manage apps or publish replies.
Manage apps in the project panel
Search and add apps
- Open the Apps tab in the AppReviewBot panel.
- Search by app name for Apple App Store or Google Play results.
- Choose an app and connect it — AppReviewBot adds it to your organization and can link it to this Jira project in one step.
You can also connect apps from the dashboard and link them here afterward.
Link and unlink
- Link attaches an existing AppReviewBot app to this Jira project so matching reviews can create issues here.
- Unlink removes only the Jira project link — the app stays in your organization and can keep other destinations (Slack, email, etc.).
- Disconnect (unsubscribe) removes the app from AppReviewBot entirely, the same as unsubscribing in the dashboard.
Use link/unlink when the same app should feed different Jira projects over time, or when you want to pause Jira tickets without deleting the app.
Browse reviews
For any connected app:
- Open Reviews from the app row.
- Scroll a paginated list of recent reviews (load more as needed).
- Filter by star rating or date range, or search by reviewer name, title, or review id.
Each review shows rating, title, body, and whether a Jira issue already exists.
Create a Jira issue from a review
- Use Create issue on a review to open a ticket in the linked project.
- If an issue already exists for that review, the app shows the existing issue instead of creating a duplicate — open it from the review card.
- Issue content includes rating, author, store context, and the full review text so engineers can triage without leaving Jira.
Automatic delivery still follows your app filters (for example 1–2★ only). Manual create is for one-off reviews that did not match those filters.
Reply to a review
You can reply to App Store and Google Play reviews from the Jira panel when:
- A store account is connected for that app’s store
- Your plan allows review replies
- API write access is enabled for your organization key
Draft the reply in the panel and submit — AppReviewBot publishes it to the store through your connected account.
Store account required for replies. Connecting Apple App Store Connect or Google Play Console unlocks faster private reviews and the ability to reply from AppReviewBot (including from Jira). See Connect a store account for Apple and Google setup.

After install
| In Jira | In AppReviewBot |
|---|---|
| Project is linked | A Jira destination appears for that project |
| Apps connected/linked | Apps show the Jira destination attached |
| Reviews visible in the panel | Same reviews power dashboards and delivery |
| Reply published from Jira | Reply appears on the store and in AppReviewBot |
Best practices
- Use one project per product area (for example “iOS Support”) so issue types and workflows stay clean
- Keep 1–2★ → tickets as the default until the team trusts volume
- Avoid creating duplicate issues for the same review — if an issue already exists, open the linked ticket instead of creating another
- Connect a store account before expecting replies from Jira
Uninstall / disconnect
Removing the Marketplace app or clearing the API key in the panel stops the Jira-side link. You can also remove or disable the Jira destination from the AppReviewBot dashboard. Apps you still monitor can keep other destinations (Slack, email, etc.).
