Linear
Connect your Linear workspace
Connecting Linear links your AppReviewBot organization to a Linear team. After that, matching reviews create issues automatically — so product and engineering triage store feedback in the same place as the rest of the roadmap.
What you get after connecting
- A Linear destination you can attach to one or more apps
- Issues created on your chosen Linear team
- Priority mapped from the review’s star rating
- Issue body with rating, author, store, version, and the full review text
Before you start
- You can sign in to the Linear workspace where issues should be created
- You can create issues on the target team
- You have at least one app in AppReviewBot (or plan to add one right after connecting)
Connect from the dashboard
- Sign in to AppReviewBot.
- Open Integrations (or start adding an app and choose Linear as the destination).
- Select Linear and click Connect.
- Complete the secure authorization popup for Linear.
- In the same window, choose the Linear team where issues should be created. Teams already linked in AppReviewBot are disabled.
- Confirm the destination card appears (it shows your Linear team).
- Attach the destination to an app and set review filters (see Create issues from reviews).
Matching reviews will then create Linear issues as AppReviewBot fetches them.
What we request (and why)
Authorization lets AppReviewBot create issues on teams you can access. That is how reviews become tickets in Linear. Store credentials are separate — connect a store account only when you need private reviews or replies.
Tips for a clean first setup
- Point the destination at the team that already owns mobile bugs
- Start with 1–2★ only so Linear stays a work queue, not a firehose
- Name the destination clearly (for example “Linear · Mobile”) when you have multiple issue trackers
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | What to try |
|---|---|
| Popup blocked | Allow popups for dash.appreviewbot.com, then click Connect again |
| No team / destination after auth | Confirm you belong to a Linear team, then reconnect |
| Issues not appearing | Check the app’s destination, rating filters, and that the app is enabled |
| Wrong team | Reconnect or create a destination for the correct team, then re-link the app |
